Social License & Social Assessment
Social license and social performance specialist Dr. Ian Thomson – co-founder of On Common Ground Consultants – formed an independent consultancy Shinglespit Consulting Inc. (SCI). SCI works with companies and communities to help build strong, healthy relationships, gain social acceptance, and assist both parties manage the social, economic and cultural changes that come with resource development. Akashic Communications has a long-standing and ongoing collaboration relationship with Ian.
Human Rights
Akashic has collaborated with Lloyd Lipsett of LKL International and Dr. Kathryn Tomlinson of Katal Consulting with respect to human rights due diligence, human rights impact assessments, as well as training and implementation of Voluntary Principles on Security and Human rights as they relate to corporate policy or sustainability reporting initiatives.
